    David Biedrzycki Visits CES

CES was very fortunate to have author and illustrator David Biedrzycki spend the morning at CES on Monday, November 5.  Mr. Biedrzycki put on two assemblies for our PreK-3rd grade students.  Mr. Biedrzycki is an award winning author and illustrator that has published over 30 children’s books.  A special thanks goes to Mrs. Amy Holtsclaw for arranging the special morning and the Athens PTO for helping pay the costs.

Below are some pictures from the Limo Lunch.  CES had 26 students earn a ride in a Limo and lunch at Pizza Ranch for being our top sellers in our fall fundraiser.  Congrats and thank you to all that participated in the fundraiser.

Windy City Players visited CES on Wendesday, September 19.  Below are some pictures from their performance of "Tom Sawyer".

Important Info

School Hours: (8:10 AM -2:48 PM)

Students may be dropped off as early as 7:50 AM.  School officially begins/students are considered late at 8:10 AM.  Pickups are dismissed at 2:45 PM.  Bus Riders are dismissed at 2:48 PM.

Drop-off and Pick-up concerns

If you arrive at school early, please do not park along the sidewalk and wait until 7:50. Please park in a parking spot and wait until it is time for your child to enter the school.  Unfortunately, we have run into a long line of cars that have stretched out of the parking lot and into the road on more than one occasion.  This makes it very difficult for those pulling into the lot for reasons other than dropping off a student.

When picking your child up after school, please park in a parking spot as well.  Some parents have parked along the sidewalk and ran into the cafeteria to pick up their child.  This creates too much congestion for everyone at dismissal times.  Thank you for your cooperation as we try to ensure safety for all of the students at CES.
