Daily Announcements

Date:  January 24, 2020

Pre-Excused absence:  If your family is planning a trip or scheduled day off and your child will miss, please contact the office three days prior to absence.  Once date(s) have been communicated to the office we will get your student a pre-excused absence slip.  This will allow staff time to gather the work for your student.  It is the student’s responsibility to obtain work before they leave.

REMINDER:  Our cell phone policy is off and out of sight.  If you need to contact your student, please call the office and we will get a message to them.  Texting them directly during school hours may result in disciplinary measures.

Please call the office by 9:00 if your child will be late due to an appointment or is sick.  We do track illnesses.

The Leo Club is collecting new or gently worn shoes through February 7th.  If you have any questions, please ask Mr. Isringhausen.  If you bring in shoes, you can give them to him as well.

Students, please continue to work on "master projects" for students of the month.  It feels good to do something nice for the community, neighbor, or friend in need.  Upon completion, send an e-mail to Mrs. Ogden for credit.

The final Frozen audition is tonight January 24th from 6:30-9:00 at the High School.

Results of the auditions will be announced on Monday, January 27th.  There will be a mandatory parent meeting at 7:00 in the HS gym for all who are in the play.

Please remember that NO food and only water is allowed in the gym in the mornings.

Students are only allowed water in classrooms and lockers.  No sugary drinks, coffee, Gatorade etc. is allowed.

Please remember hats are not allowed to be worn in the building.  This includes hoods from your sweatshirts/jackets.

Stop by the office and check the lost and found.  Jackets and clothes are piling up!

Students as you are going through the lunch line please be aware that you may choose either a fruit or vegetable or both with your meal. The State requires that each student have a minimum amount of fruits or vegetables or a combination of both. If you choose to only take one, you will get the full required serving, if you choose both, you will get a 1/2 serving of each, to total the amount required.

The office sells bottles of water for $1.00 and fruit snacks (big bag) for $1.00.  We also have granola bars and crackers for $.50.

As a reminder only WATER is allowed to be in lockers or carried to class.  All sugar drinks must be discarded before leaving the cafeteria. (Gatorade, soda, kick starts etc.)

Please remind your student to never walk down the train tracks on their paths home.  This is a very dangerous thing to do, and the local police will stop any/all who attempt this method.

Send in your soda tabs.  We collect these all year long.

Don’t forget to sign up for your Max card (County Market), “Red” card (Target).  Remember to save your box tops and Campbell Soup labels.  All companies give a percentage of purchases and labels back to the school.
