Colony news

This week we launched our first reading theme “Welcome to School”.  We have been learning about feelings.  We are putting together another class book.  This one is from a small group activity in which each child drew out a feeling word from a bag and then answered when they have felt that way.  Today we took a picture of your child making that kind of feeling face.

Adam felt grumpy when I wanted a toy and Mom said “no.”

Connor O. felt mad when my sister too my toy away.

Katie felt happy when she got to play outside.

Kayley felt frightened when a storm came.

James felt sleepy when I’m tired.

Tristan felt silly when he got on the bus.

Bodi felt proud when my Dad played with me.

Connor B. felt loved when Daddy gave me ice cream.

Michael felt shy when I met my teacher.

Sarah felt scared when there was a storm.

Will felt excited when he went to the playground.

Brennah felt angry when nobody plays with me.

Joe felt sad when my friend had to go home.

Brooke felt embarrassed when I fell down on the playground.

Lilly felt hungry when my friends were eating.

Logan felt nervous when nobody would talk to me.

Luke felt surprised when I had a party for my birthday.
